Stop and Smell the Rosé 🌹🍷

Today's blog post was a fun one. Why, well a few reasons. I had the pleasure of creating a small dessert cart for my clients 40th birthday celebration. This is the third time working with her and not my last. We're also working on her October wedding dessert table which might I say is going to be amazing!!!

Because of our long working relationship, we've reached this deep trust where she knows I have her best interest at heart and I can take a few risks (which is really nice). The goal of the birthday party theme was to shine a light on her personality which is all things glitz and glam and very over the top. We wanted it to be very feminine and beautiful and of course look and taste delicious. It was also a nice moment given it was her 40th to step back and remind herself and everyone else to literally stop and smell the roses. We all know life moves quickly and if you don't enjoy it you'll miss some pretty incredible moments.

Now onto the sweets...Truth be told the cookies were a last minute addition but I'm sooooo incredibly glad we added them in. They truly pulled the entire theme together. My girl Erika over at The Savory Soiree can seriously work up some cookie magic!

Due to the venue, we opted for a small gold bar cart that was transformed into a dessert cart. Items consisted of mini cupcakes, French Macarons, champagne gummies, sour pucker up lips and a few 40th touches.

The cake was provided by Starry Night Bakery but I decided to tackle the task of adding some fresh flowers to the top and side myself. Thankfully my friends over at SNB were very encouraging and even provided me a few tips.

All in all it was one sweet set-up! A very HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY!!!!
