There’s something extra special about working with families year after year — watching their lives grow and their celebrations evolve. This Happy Boo Day birthday was my fourth event with this family. I first met them years ago when I created a donut-themed second birthday for their daughter. Then came her parents’ engagement party, their wedding, and now — a perfectly pastel, spooky-meets-sweet sixth birthday celebration.

A spooky but sweet 6th birthday celebration

The theme? Boo Day — a playful twist on Halloween with a palette of soft pinks, purples, oranges, and touches of black. Think adorable ghosts, shimmering candy, and a setup that felt magical, not scary. For this design, I wanted to balance the whimsy of childhood with the fun of Halloween — using colors that were festive but still totally fitting for a six-year-old’s big day. Every jar, scoop, and sprinkle was chosen to match the vibe, creating a candy bar that was both boo-tiful and delicious. 👻✨

What I love most about my work is the trust my clients place in me. Repeat clients often give me full creative freedom — and that’s when the magic really happens. No two events I design are ever the same. Each setup tells its own story, reflecting the personalities and moments that make every celebration unique.

Caramel popcorn, cotton candy cauldrons and so much more

This one was pure joy — proof that “spooky season” can still be sweet. Until the next celebration… stay sweet, stay inspired, and don’t forget to find magic in the little moments.
